Lizzard's love of football and winter are commonly mocked in the comics. Oh well.

The end of football season IS doomsday!! And it happens every year! It's tragic!!

HA!! Lizzard accidentally did this a few times in her youth to her parents...

Lizzard suspects her grandchildren will somday think something similar - unless they've already gotten the football bug...

The kid's response here is totally something Lizzard would say. When filling out a 'get to know you' type form for an adoption application, one of the questions was "when you buy something for yourself, it is most likely to be...?" Lizzard's answer? "Something electronic."

This is so Lizzard. The pool is a huge consideration in any hotel stay and she typically visits it every day.

Yeah! This is exactly the kind of thing that Lizzard would love to have the doctor say. Unfortunately, though, her weight and blood pressure are both just fine. Darn.

Lizzard is quite vocal with her opinions/commentary/criticism during football games.

This would be the perfect gift for Stamps from September through January.

Lizzard pulled this often after she got her driver's license. Her mom started to accept it as part of the deal as long as the change wasn't excessive.

Sigh.

Stamps laughed hysterically when he first read this. Lizzard LOVES Christmas and decorating the tree, but like the lad in the comic above, she's shorter than the tree is.

This was in the BYU newspaper prior to the annual BYU-University of Utah football game in 2001. What a game and season that was!! As far as she's concerned, the Cougars can beat the Utes any day, anytime, anywhere.

NOT!!!!! Being from Alaska, Lizzard has a slightly different perspective on 'snow days' than most of the people here in Portland. Here, it seems school is cancelled for a small dusting of snow but when she was a kid, it took a heck of a lot more than that to close the schools.

Lizzard got two Wall-e toys for Christmas and then saw this in the paper the same day. :-)

Football or going to the mall... football wins. Easily. Every time.

Too true! As soon as I read this, I cracked up laughing and said "this is me, this is me."

Lizzard sees nothing wrong with BBQing in the winter. She's been known to shovel a path in the snow on the deck to get to the grill.

Oh, how Lizzard wishes to have this! She's been known to have some rather loud music playing while in the car.

Lizzard is sometimes playfully referred to as "Lightning Hands"...

Oh yeah!

The hilarious thing on this one is that this was the EXACT reason that Lizzard made a Thanksgiving feast this year (2010).

Certainly the time between the end of the football season and the start of the baseball season is a sad time...no decent sports to watch on tv! Golf just doesn't cut it.

OK, Lizzard has been known to make a burnt offering or two in her time. Who hasn't? (grin)
